There are two good introductory essays before the Dictionary on design description of furniture, and some useful notes following. There are over 2,600 entries including terms and names used both in Britain and the USA.

This an account of the rise and fall of the East London Furniture trade up to the 1980s. The authors have drawn upon the huge archives which have been collected over many years by the Geffrye Museum (which is a centre for the study of English furniture and woodworking) from many East End companies and personal accounts from furniture makers. By the turn of the 19/20 century there were 1000s of workshops in the area of Hoxton, Bethnal Green and Shoreditch. The book is in almost mint condition.
