First published in 1934 this is the 1950 revised and enlarged edition. It was produced at the Record company and uses Record planes throughout for its examples. It gives the history of the plane and discusses every differnt type both, wooden and metal, and goes on to show every aspect of using metal planes in their various forms. Very practical in showing how to grind and set an iron through to using a circular plane. Well illustrated with practical line drawings and photographs.
